Miso-Glazed Salmon

Broiled salmon with a sweet-savory miso glaze that caramelizes into a lacquered crust. Effortlessly elegant.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Salmon fillets

  • 3 whole Scallions
Pantry
  • 2 tbsp Mirin
  • 2 tbsp Sake or dry sherry
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp White miso paste

Instructions

1. Whisk together miso paste, sake, mirin, soy sauce, and sesame oil until smooth.
2. Pat salmon dry. Pour marinade over and marinate 20 min (up to overnight in the fridge).
3. Preheat broiler. Place salmon skin-side down on a foil-lined pan.
4. Broil 10–12 min until the glaze is deeply caramelized and fish flakes easily.
5. Garnish with scallions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
